Matador Wildlife Management Area
Looking for a reason to come to Paducah? How about a 'Back to Nature' getaway! Bring a camera and get ready for some amazing scenic views.
The Matador Wildlife Management Area containing 28,183 acres, is located in Cottle County seven miles north of Paducah. The Area is at the end of FM 3256, 2.5 miles west of U.S. Highway 83.
This Area is open to the public year 'round. Register at the office and take off. There is no fee as long as you do not hunt, fish or stay overnight. FREE to drive and take in the views until the park closes.
Principal game apecies found in the Matador Area include bobwhite quail, mourning dove, Rio Grande turkey, desert mule deer, and white-tailed deer.
